A man has been charged in a rash of car break-ins that happened Monday in Greenville over a three hour period.
Police say Jose Navarro is responsible for nine vehicle break-ins where windows were smashed to get inside.
The break-ins happened between 6 pm and 9 pm in various public places across the city. Taken were iPhones, purses, wallets, makeup and other items left in the vehicles.
Police say the 24-year-old used one of the stolen credit cards and were able to track him down after that. A search warrant netted officers much of the stolen items at the man's house.
He is also wanted in California on a probation violation.
