Greenville police are now looking for armed robbers who hit two businesses on the same night and along the same street.
Police say the first reported armed robbery on Sunday was at 2143 South Memorial Drive at the Platinum Sweepstakes business.
A man with a handgun came into the business and ordered the clerk to open the safe. The gunman ran from the business with an undisclosed amount of case.
He is described as a black man, 5'7" tall, medium build, wearing all back and a white tee-shirt covering his face.
Several hours later, the Wilco Hess station at 3000 South Memorial Drive in Greenville was robbed.
In the Wilco-Hess robbery, officials said the gunman got away with cigarettes, cigars and cash.
That robber is described as being between 5'6" and 6-foot tall, wearing a red mask and black hat.
Police have not said whether they believe the two robberies are connected.
