President Obama's grassroots organization held its grand opening of its Greenville office Tuesday night.
This is the eleventh regional office to open in North Carolina and the first one in the eastern part of the state.
Laura Jane Glascoff is part of the group "Organizing for America North Carolina." She says, "Having our own office definitely kicks it up a notch. It's a statement to the community that we are fired up and ready to go. We have a home and anyone can come in at anytime and we'll put them to work. We'll have fun too, but we are going to get the president reelected and we have a long way to go."
The organization will have another event on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at their new location at 214 E. Arlington Blvd.
They say they hope to get more young people registered to vote and to gain more volunteers throughout the community.
