Like others across Eastern Carolina, a generator provided some relief for Kathy Woolard while she waited out the power repair crews.
Woolard, who lives in Grimesland, lost power in the storms from Sunday and has been sweating it out.
Woolard did find a little relief from the fans she was able to power through the use of a generator. She says she was thankful for the generator but really wanted her power back on.
At Lowe's in Washington, people flooded the store and emptied it of the generators in stock. Store officials said they were working to get more, especially with hurricane season here.
