Former Greenville Police Chief Glenn Cannon Dies

Former Greenville Police Chief Glenn Cannon passed away Sunday at Vidant Medical Center.

Cannon was the Chief of Police in Greenville for 12 years before he retired in 1983, after a total of 29 years with the force. He had been living in Havelock for the last few years since his wife died.

Cannon's daughter says he had surgery to repair a ruptured aneurysm, but died from complications.

Cannon's funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at First Free Will Baptist Church in Greenville.
