Funeral services are planned in Charlotte for the daughter of a former Greenville city manager whose life was cut tragically short.
Jamie Kimble, daughter of Ron and Jan Kimble, was killed in a murder-suicide in Tampa, Florida Sunday.
Police say Kimble, who was 31, was shot by her boyfriend, 39-year-old Luis Rodriguez, before he then shot himself.
Kimble was an excellent student at Rose High School in Greenville, graduating in the top ten of her class in 1999. She finished UNC Chapel Hill in 3.5 years. Her obituary shows she had just received a promotion at work and was moving from Florida to Texas.
Visitation is Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Services at 1111 East Boulevard in Charlotte.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sautrday at Myers Park United Methodist Church at 1501 Queens Road in Charlotte. A private burial will follow.

Ron Kimble was the city manager in Greenville for 10 years before leaving in 2000 to become a deputy city manager in Charlotte.
