The son of former Greenville Police Chief William Anderson is facing four charges because of a wreck in March. Anderson is currently chief in Asheville where the crash happened.
22-year-old Chad Anderson was charged with obstruction of justice, conspiracy, hit and run and reckless driving.
Anderson was released on a $25,000 unsecured bond Tuesday. He would not talk about the charges. His attorney, Sean Devereux says Anderson hopes to get the matter resolved.
Anderson previously had been charged with failure to report an accident.
He was involved in a wreck around 2:30 a.m. March 9. Neither Anderson nor the person he said was driving was at the scene when police arrived.
Investigators say the other person was not in the vehicle when the wreck occurred.
