A food manufacturer says it plans to open a facility in Pitt County, creating 57 new jobs.
Natural Blend Vegetable Dehydration will invest more than $12 million over the next three years, according to a news release from the governor's office.
The facility will dehydrate vegetables that will be used as ingredients in various food products at a Farmville location that it purchased in 2009.
The company received a $114,000 One North Carolina Fund grant to help with the costs.
The state says average salary for the jobs will be $38,123, plus benefits.
