Farmville Sex Offender Behind Bars For Failure To Register

A Pitt County man was arrested Tuesday and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Twenty-four-year-old Ramel Johnson is from Stantonsburg Road in Farmville. He was convicted last year in Martin County for an incident liberty with a child charge that was reported in 2009. He was supposed to register as a sex offender but he isn't in the registry.

Johnson's bond is set at $10,000.
