Families Get Bonding Time On Memorial Day At Greenville Parks

Many people had the day off from work Monday, and that meant plenty of cookouts and picnics in the east.

At Elm Street Park in Greenville, Valeria Chaires and her family reserved a pavilion to spend quality time together. We spoke to the 7th grader about what Memorial Day meant to her.

"No school for kids that's one thing, and just a break time for someone, and the people who perhaps work all the time, never get to see family members," said Chaires.

She said it's also important to remember those in the armed forces who have lost their lives.
