Greenville residents will need to put their trash and recycling bins out at the curb earlier this summer.
Beginning June 11 sanitation employees will begin their routes at 6am instead of 7am.
"We are trying to help our workers avoid problems due to the summer heat," said Sanitation Superintendent Delbert Bryant.
"By starting earlier, they can do some of their work in the cooler weather."
The earlier pickup hours will last from June 11 through Labor Day.
