KANSAS CITY, MO -- East Carolina University junior guard Miguel Paul has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)/Division I All-District 11 second-team.
First-team all-district honors went to Will Barton (Memphis), Cameron Moore (UAB), DeAndre Kane (Marshall), Jordan Clarkson (Tulsa) and Keith Clanton (UCF). Joining Paul on the second-team were Neal Watson (Southern Miss), Arsalan Kazemi (Rice), Robert Nyakundi (SMU) and LaShay Page (Southern Miss).
Paul, a 2011-12 All-Conference USA second-team selection, led the conference in assists per game (5.9), while leading the Pirates in scoring (15.2), steals (1.3 spg), free throws made (138) and 3-point field goals made (68). He ranked third in Conference USA in assist-to-turiver ratio (2.1), fourth in 3-point field goals made, fifth in scoring, seventh in 3-point field goal percentage (.362) and ninth in steals and free throw percentage (.767).
The Pirates finished the 2011-12 campaign with a 15-16 record and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Championship for the second consecutive season.
