Dude, where's my car!!! That's what one motorist must have been thinking after leaving her disabled car on the side of the road, only to return later and not find it there.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says a motorist left her car sitting beside the road in the area of Kings Crossroads and Windham Road overnight on May 29th because of mechanical problems.
Detectives say 46-year-old Walter Speight of Windham Road towed the vehicle to a salvage yard in Elm City and sold it for scrap.
Speight is charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.
