A Grifton man is accused of causing a traumatic head injury for a three-month-old baby.
Michael Perry, 30, was charged Thursday with felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says they got a call about the baby's injury after she was brought to Vidant Medical Center. The injury happened while Perry was caring for his girlfriend's daughter.
His bond was set at $250,000.
Detention Center deputies told WITN 30-year-old Michael Perry of Grifton was arrested around 7:30 Thursday night, charged with felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
Perry's bond was set at $250,000 ahead of his first court appearance, which was scheduled for Thursday morning.
