The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says 15-year-old Destiny Demiao was located Thursday night in Greenville and is safe.
She had been missing since authorities say she ran away in June, but was considered by law enforcement to be endangered.
The sheriff's office says details are limited, but says Demiao was found in Greenville and is safely in the custody of authorities.
Deputies now say a missing Pitt County teen is endangered.
Destiny Demiao was last seen June 27th at her family's home in Greenville.
They say the 15-year-old was possibly wearing a black and white striped shirt.
At first deputies said the girl was a runaway, but Thursday they told WITN News the teen is now considered endangered.
Deputies say the girl last spoke to friends last week.
Anyone with information on the girl's whereabouts should call the Pitt County Sheriff's Office at 252-830-4141.
