Three men from the east are accused of stealing copper wire from a business and then selling it to a recycling center.
28-year-old John Aaron Warlick of Snow Hill, 32-year-old Robert Brady of Farmville and 22-year-old Derek Nathaniel Peele also from Farmville were charged by the Pitt county Sheriff's Office for breaking and entering, Larceny and Injury to Non-Ferrous Metal.
On May 23, the Pitt County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a breaking and entering at Marin Marietta Materials on Allen Gay Road in Fountain.
Deputies say the suspects broke into the office of the business, cut off and removed 700 feet of copper wire.
All three were booked in the Pitt County Detention Center and placed under a $15,000 secured bond.
Warlick is also charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretense by selling the metal and Unlawful Transport of more than 25 pounds of copper on state highways.
