A group of local students will get the chance to play doctor to stuffed teddy bears at the Teddy Bear Hospital.
The Teddy Bear Hospital is opening Wednesday at Belvoir Elementary.
At the event, students will bring their stuffed animals and diagnose them with an illness or injury.
The students will also visit stations monitored by volunteers from the hospital and Health Sciences Academy to learn about treatments.
The Teddy Bear Hospital Program is intended to help lessen the anxiety children have when they visit the doctor or hospital and raise awareness about various jobs in healthcare.
The stuffed bear hospital event is Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Belvoir Elementary School in Greenville.
