Greenville police say the driver who ran into a Dollar General Store on Sunday, has been charged with making an unsafe movement.

According to Sgt. Joe Friday with Greenville Police, in the police report stated, 59-year-old Virginia Clements said her foot slipped off the brake in front of the store on Stantonsburg Road around 12:45 Sunday afternoon. Instead, she hit the accelerator and drove into the store.

Clements was taken to Vidant Medical Center with minor injuries, according to Sgt. Friday.

There's no indication on how much damage was caused to the building.

Part of a Dollar General store in Greenville is boarded up after reports say a car came crashing into it.

The wreck happened at the Dollar General at 3100 Stantonsburg Rd., near the Wilco-Hess Station.

A woman accidentally crashed into the store around noon Sunday, according to the Daily Reflector. The paper says her injuries did not appear to be serious, but she was taken to Vidant Medical Center.

Her name is not available at this time.

It's time for the Dollar stores to put up steel & concrete post in front of their entrances or not allow parking in front of the entrance. This has become an epidemic. It's a miracle no one has been killed in these drive-throughs.

Looking through the Carolina Bargain Trader, see women put Lady driven in ads for vehicles. Guess women don't realize that I take 20% off the book value for "women driven" vehicles.

makeup, texting, cell phones, driving SUV's that they cant see over the dash...lots of reasons. Heck I have seen 3 ladies driving in Greenville with plates of food in one hand and a fork in the other while driving...you know who you are lady that almost killed me last week on Arlington Blvd driving while eating a Mexican pizza from Taco Bell. Another almost killed me on Charles Blvd. I was in the right lane past Golds Gym and she pulled over into my lane running me into the curb while I laid on the horn...get this, then she turned left...you know who you are too lady, I think you were on the phone and I think you were driving a silver Camry and turned LEFT right before the social security office...woman drivers...GEEEEZZZZ

After reading the comments on this story, you would think there are a bunch of middle school students up here posting comments instead of adults! Accidents happen! Luckily the drive and no one in the store was seriously injured (which by the way is more important than what she was or was not doing while in the car)

Theres probably a bigger picture somewhere...Like this is the set up for a heist later, So much easier to remove the wooden boards and steal stuff out of the hole that was created, instead of the front door that is alarmed!

I've been waiting for someone to be bold enough to attempt an elaborate heist at the dollar general.

If they bring a pick-up truck they might make off with $200-$300 worth of stuff.

This as our so called govenoress is complating the removal of vehicle inspections. Let's just do away with the learner's permit process also.

What does that have to do with her foot slipping off of the brake? Do they need to inspect her foot?

These are the thing I point to when people want to outlaw guns. Getting behind the wheel of vehicle is more dangerous than gun could ever be. Especially when people don't know the difference between the gas and break peddle.
