March 21, 2014 The Children's Miracle Network "Music for Miracles" radiothon on 107.9 came to end Sunday, and Eastern Carolina and beyond opened their wallets and hearts.
According to 107.9's Facebook page, the 17th annual radiothon raise $110,001 to support the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital at Vidant Medical Center.
All weekend, stories of survival were shared by children and their families, in addition to the doctor's and nurses that help with those life saving measures.
We hope all of you will join WITN for its own Children's Miracle Network telethon on May 30th and June 1st to make even more miracles happen.
The CMN "Music for Miracles" radiothon kicked off Friday at radio station 107.9 in Greenville and will continue until Sunday.
This is the 17th annual radiothon that raises funds to help sick and injured children at the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital.
CMN Hospitals funds have been used to support capital projects as well as provide a broad range of educational programs.
The station will feature miracle kids and their families throughout the weekend, doctors and nurses from the hospital, and special guests. WITN'S Lynnette Taylor and Dave Jordan were among those who stopped by to lend their support Friday.
WITN's CMN telethon is May 30 and June 1st this year.
