An arrest has been made in a string of robberies in Winterville and Greenville.
Police say Robert Styons has been charged with the robberies of the Wilco-Hess and Family Dollar on Sunday in Winterville and another robbery at Rose Nails on Mall Drive in Greenville last night.
The 27-year-old was booked into the Pitt County jail this morning and is being held on a $75,000 secured bond.
Arrest warrants say the Greenville man got $193 from the Family Dollar and $168 in the convenience store robbery.
Greenville police say their robbery happened around 7:00 p.m. The victim told officers the robber ran toward the University Inn. Two hours later they found Styons in one of the rooms, wearing the same clothes at the time of the robbery.
Police say Styons also matched the description of the two Winterville robberies and they were contacted.
