A man who was supposed to be on house arrest is accused of trying to run down two Greenville police officers and leading them on a chase overnight.
Robert Cogdell of Ayden is facing 11 charges, including several counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, resisting, felony flee/elude arrest and reckless driving to endanger.

The chase ended at Chestnut Street and Line Avenue when the vehicle hit a fire hydrant and a stop sign. Cogdell was injured and taken to Vidant Medical Center for his injuries.
Bond for the 25 year old man was set at $165,000.
