All lanes of Highway 11 are open now, after an accident early Thursday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol tells us the trooper quickly investigated the scene and left in about an hour after a two car crash near Wellcome Middle School in Pitt county.
The Highway Patrol Office could not provide any further information about the people involved in the crash.

An accident snarled traffic on a busy highway in Pitt County Thursday afternoon.
Southbound lanes of Highway 11, just north of Wellcome Middle School were being detoured onto Glenview Drive after the 12:40 p.m. wreck.
Troopers say a Ford Escort pulled out in front of an oncoming Toyota which was southbound on the highway. The Toyota struck the Ford on the driver's side door. The driver of the Escort was taken to Vidant Medical Center.
The Highway Patrol says charges are likely in the accident against the driver of the Escort.
