Greenville Community Pool Opens

The Greenville community pool finally opened up for swimmers Saturday. The opening had been delayed due to needed upgrades to the pool's pumps, filters, and drains.

Many kids and adults were excited to be able to splash around on the hot day.

The pool is open to anyone over the age of four, and its only a $1.50 to enter. They also offer packages for families or frequent swimmers.

The pool is open on Mondays 1:30- 5:30 and Wednesday through Sunday 1:30 - 5:30. It is located on 2113 Myrtle Ave.

No we do not have the chemicals that turns urine blue haha. And it depends on the Greenville budget if the pool will stay open later. And we apologize greatly for the inconvienience it caused everyone with us opening late. Trust me, we wanted the pool open on time just like everyone else. :)

As a lifeguard for the Greenville Community Pool, we keep our pool cleaner than most private Club pools. Our chemicals stay at a great CLEAN level and our staff is on top of everything thats goes on out there. The pool may not be in a great location but us lifeguards and our managers keep OUR pool safe with the help of off duty officers on the weekends. Our goal is to prevent, well anything, from drownings to altercations.Any lifeguard can save a life but it takes a great ( Greenville Community Pool) lifeguard to PREVENT a drowning from occuring, and thats exactly what we do. We also host our Greenville Swim team there and our swim lessons there as well and our swim lessons are practically free. Its just another way WE PREVENT drownings. Check our stats and you will see we have not had anything like a Gold's Gym accident in years. :)

No way will I go to that pool, it's in a"bad" part of town, price isn't bad though! I go as a guest with my boyfriend at the ECU outdoor pool. It's cleaner and not usually crowded, and quiet, sometimes!!
