Greenville's Police Chief Speaks Out On Crime

For the first time, since a Councilwoman was arrested, Greenville's Police Chief speaks out on how their department handles crime.

Members of the South Christian Leadership Conference got a chance to hear from Greenville's Chief of Police on how crime is handled in the city.

Greenville City Manager Wayne Bowers, Police Chief William Anderson and several black leaders met Tuesday night to talk about allegations of misconduct in the police department, that's according to the Daily Reflector.

The forum focused on crime in the city, but this also stems from the group's call for the chief to resign, after Councilwoman Kandie Smith was arrested for supposedly looking into similar allegations.
