Rough Weather For Those Working Outside

The extreme heat we're experiencing is making working outside difficult for those whose jobs require them to be outdoors.

Employees with Little's Nursery in Greenville were busy doing lawn work outside the Cobblestone Townhomes Monday.

Workers say they're used to working in hot weather, but do try to get an early start to beat the heat. They say they also drink plenty of water throughout the day and take breaks as needed.

Health officials say its important to avoid heat related illnesses by doing exactly what those workers are doing...drinking plenty of water and taking breaks.

I understand what you are saying about the heat and working outside but get this. I work inside and where I work ,,,,I give you my word, There is no A/C and there is only a few doors you can open. I work 10 HRS a Day, If it is 90 outside ,,it is about 100 or 101 where I am. Yesterday (MONDAY) at 1:10 p.m. it was 101 inside where I was at. All we can do is work and drink a lot of water. So as I feel bad for some of the people working outside,Lets not forget there is 234 people where I work in the HEAT inside. It is hard on a lot of us,,But some of us much go and do it. We Make things so other people can stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
