Oh Baby! ECU Ranks #1 For In Vitro Fertilization

The Fertility Clinic at East Carolina university has been ranked fourth-best in the nation for helping women become pregnant through in vitro fertilization.

The ECU Women's Physicians had 68.8% success rate for embryo transfers that result in live births among women under age 35, according to the Society For Assistive Reproductive Technology.

That success rate ranked ECU fourth in the country among 500 in vitro clinics, and first in the state.

womens and men both can have fertility issues for a number of reasons and some problems are treated easily like mine and some are not. with the help of ecu womens and the great staff there i was able to become pregnant with only the use of medication and a couple ultrasounds. when and if im ready to have another baby i will go back to dr. hayslip and dr. jordan again. i know people who have had ivf with ecu womens and were very happy and none of them had to spend 100's of thousands of dollars. if your insurance sucks or you just don't have any it will cost you a good deal of money but other wise it can be afordable. its nothing compared to how much raising that baby will cost. lol. im so happy to see ecu womens finally getting the recognition it deserves.

I am a father of 5 beautiful children all thru invitro with Dr. Hayslip. My wife at the time had someissues with conceiving so we went to ECU. We have a 12 yr old daughter and 8 yr old quadruplets( 3 girls and 1 boy). They are amazing.

To Anon at 11:20 - Was NOT blaming the woman. Was thinking it might be outside issues. GROW UP.

I was a patient of Dr. Hayslip but was able to get pregnant without in vitro. That was going to be our next step. He & his staff were great. My little boy is now 8 & Dr. Hayslip really helped to make it possible.

I have no idea why I am even surpised at some of the snide comments here on WITN. Anonymous, it does not cost 100's of thousands of dollars to get pregnant. I work a regular job and get paid a average salary as does my wife. We both were able to go through Vitro Fertilization without getting a second mortgage. Our insurance did wonders and paid 80% of the bill, leaving us only having to pay what you could buy a new lawn mower for. I mean really people, if you have nothing nice to say why do you even bother saying anything? It is better to be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubts.

This is great! BUT why don't they also figure out WHY so many women can not get pregnant these days. Too many women CAN NOT conceive. I personally think it is all the birth control at a very young age, fertlizer and pesticides. Im no genius or doctor but it really makes you wonder. I gave birth to my 6th child at 40 as did my mother and my sister at late ages too. I am adopted! So is my sister! Mom is not our biological mother. Something to it. We ate super healthy growing up and neither of us was on birth control until our mid 20's and that was spiradic. Glad there is something for women to help get preggers. Kids are GREAT!

There are still people out there that can afford to have children and pay the 100's of thousand to get pregnant?

This is fantastic. I am one of the many women that have a hard time getting pregnant. My first child was conceived through artificial insemination by Greenville Women's Clinc. The second go around wasn't so easy. I chose to visit Dr. Hayslip at the invitro clinic. He implanted two embryos and now I am the proud mommy of twins. Having highly qualified doctors that can help women like me get pregnant is a blessing. Always remember the lord has a hand in all pregnancies. Without him nothing is possible. Thanks be to god and Dr. Hayslip.
