East Carolina To Hold Planning Drill Tuesday

It's not a situation any college or university ever wants to face, but one ECU will be preparing for.

ECU officials will hold a full-scale planning drill Tuesday to prepare staff and police to respond to an active shooter on campus.

Actors and the simulated use of weapons will likely be used.

The drill will take place between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM at Green, White, Clement, Fletcher and Garrett Residence Halls, as well as Bloxton House and West End Dining Hall.

Streets surrounding those buildings may be blocked during the drill.

Dave: No, I don't have to know, but your continual haranguing and derision over the years has called it upon yourself. The answer to your question is EXACTLY as I suspected and predicted. Master's degree and surfing the net... I'm glad to hear that you won't be teaching children at least. What happened with this plan in the Pittsburgh suburbs, in San Diego, and all the other prospects you wrote about?

PK, I am applying for editor positions on USAjobs.com if you must know.

Sad but this is the world we live in, thank you ECU for taking the responsibility to be proactive and conduct the lock down drill.

They should have done this alot sooner than this. I mean Greenville is getting really bad and with campus being downtown...it is just really bad there now. I used to work there and we weren't allowed to walk alone, even in broad daylight. It's not just women either. I think this is a great idea and they should do it every year for the new staff and faculty that come alone. Continue the good work ECU!!!

Dave: So, the question still looms as you continue to dodge it: what specifically are you doing now post graduation? You were all post graduation dreams a year ago. Now, you are mum on this topic. As an English "scholar", I'm sure you're familiar with the term "awry"? What happened? Has your "disposition" caught up with you? Yet? Is "Up here" in your WITN location Pennsylvania as opposed to San Diego? Very predictable. I predicted that your characterological deficits would catch up with you, as have others. So, what's going on in "Dave's World", Dave?

With as bad as Greenville is, this is actually a good idea!
