Pet of the Week

What do call a cross between a schnauzer and a poodle? Our pet of the week of course!

Meet Lou, the 3 year old "Snoodle". A cross between a schnauzer and a poodle, this lovable dog was surrender to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina by his owner.

Lou has a docile demeanor, great with families or older individuals. He's already house-broken and ready to be adopted today.

If you're interested in Lou, contact the Humane society at (252) 413-7247.

Sometimes due to owners health they have to surrender their pet. it is not because they want to, but out of necessity can no longer keep a pet. with the economy some people have to give them up because they can no longer afford the upkeep. wouldn't it be better to give the pet to the humane society in the hopes that a family or someone would adopt them instead of just......whatever happens? Please Kathrin, think before you comment. this owner might be in tears because they had to give up a part of them. I hope you never have to part with a pet except after a long relationship.

I have a Snoodle-Pom. Schnauzer, Poodle and Pomeranian!! one of the best dogs I've ever owned. Her mom, a snoodle is awesome too. It sucks that someone would drop off a great dog like that. They have so much personality! Don't buy or breed adopt those in need!!!

I have two of these adorable dogs - and mine are toy poodle and miniature Schnauzer - but my people call them SCHNOODLES! Mine are 9 and loving, protective, playful, devoted and quite people-like. They make grand pets and anyone who gets this fellow is one lucky individual. They are unbelievably intelligent as well. (I already have 5 dogs - 5 cats and 20 birds, mostly "rescues" or I would like to take him in!!)

I love Lou! He was so very sweet and well -behaved this morning on the way to WITN and in the green room - such a lover!! He gives respectful kisses, sits on command, loves to walk on the leash, and is house broken. Just a little TLC and wash/groom is all he needs. Lou would be a great companion for any one!
