Police To Arrest Breaking And Entering Culprits

The East Carolina University Police Department says it's hoping to solve a string of car breaking and entering cases in the Reade Circle parking lots.

The Police Department says it plans to charge several people for the B-and-E's, which happened earlier this semester.

Campus police aren't releasing their names yet, but say the arrests will solve at least nine cases.

Officers say they've also been working with the Greenville Police Department to solve the crimes, but there's no word yet on related arrests.

Students say they're aware of the break-ins, and say they try to protect their belongings.

The ECU Police Department expects to issue arrest warrants soon.

To those individuals who do not know the difference between the East Carolina University Police Department and East Carolina University Parking and Traffic Services, here it is: The ECU Police Department deals with matters of safety and crime on campus. ECU Parking and Traffic Services deals with parking issues on campus. One department does not have anything to do with the other. So, next time you complain about vehicles being towed and getting frivolous parking tickets, complain to the correct department. Leave the investigations to the police department. They are working as hard as they can to make the campus community as safe as it can be. Stuff doesn't get solved overnight, folks!

Sup: No ticket or confusion here. I leave nothing valuable in my car anyway and keep the Glock handy ;-)

How can you tell that the ECU PD is doing their job? You're late for class and the tow truck company is making money!

This story is pretty newsworthy because the ECU PD may actually have to do their JOBS.
