Sheriff Deputy Trial Continued Again

There's been another delay for a Pitt County deputy sheriff who is accused of supplying wine to someone underage.

DARE officer Amanda Tyndall was in court Tuesday morning. The District Attorney's Office says when they turned over their case file to the defense, her lawyers sought another delay.

Tyndall is charged with supplying wine to someone who is not old enough to legally drink. The SBI says she allegedly supplied wine to someone under 21 years old at tie breakers in Greenville. According to Pitt county Sheriff Mac Manning no disciplinary action has been taken against her.

Her new trial date is May 18th.

There are some haters up here! I can see why, Amanda is an intellegent woman who carries herself well and is respected by many more than she is hated by. Keep your head up Amanda!

I GUESS HER TRIAL DATE IS AFTER THE MAY 4 ELECTION DAY. I DOESN'T MATTER, THE PUBLIC AND DA'S OFFICE KNOWS HOW MUCH OF A JOKE THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE IS AT THIS TIME. THINGS COULD CHANGE WITH A GOOD LEADER THAT HAS HONEST VALUES.

This case has been sketchy from the start. Apparently some of you never got to read the original statement by the ATF agent that witnessed the episode. In the original statement it was the minor who took the drink while the officer had turned her back. How is this the blame of the officer ? In any case I hope the DA gets to the bottom of this and finds out who was involved in such a character assassin plot, which may be the reason for the continuance. One thing I have noticed is that some Elks supporters out here will say anything to undermine Sheriff Manning , regardless of truth. If Elks has a platform it shouldn't be slamming Manning, it should be on what he can do for Pitt Co. Other than his friends posting contemptuous remarks about pending cases that they know nothing about ! Oh, and by the way, how many of you would like to have your boss hang you out to dry before all the facts were in ? Because according to his supporters this is what Elks would do!

Why is this taking so long? How long does it take to have facts in a small case like this?Delay,Delay,Delay maybe somebody will forget something.Either innocent or guilty this case is rediculous because of lawyers.
