Pitt County Vandals Take Out Over 40 Mailboxes

Residents in one Eastern Carolina county are upset after vandals destroyed more than 40 mailboxes and other property Monday night.

The vandalism happened on Sheppard Mill Road near Pactolus in Pitt County between 6:30 Monday night and 6 AM Tuesday.

According to authorities, between 40 and 50 mailboxes were destroyed.

Authorities found a golf club down the road and believe that it was used to cause the damage.

Wiley Price originally thought he was the target of an attack before he spoke to authorities.

Price also had a 600 dollar sign in his front yard stolen. He is offering a 100 dollar reward.
