Armed Robbery Suspect Search

A convenience store that has been target for thieves has been hit again. According to Greenville police a man wearing dark clothing and a red bandanna over his face walked into the Kangaroo convenience store on 14th and Greenville Boulevard and pulled a gun on the clerk.

He demanded cash from the register and after she handed it over, he wanted more from the safe, but he didn't wait around for it and instead ran off.

The clerk told officers she had been held up at least five times before. If you know anything about this robbery, call Crimestoppers.

I just dont understand if this is one of several holdups at Kangaroo gas stations why is there not higher police coverage at these places and why are the owners of these stores still making employees work alone overnight. Also why are there not any pictures of the suspects posted for someone to identify and catch these idiots. Why type of company puts their employees at such a risk will they be responsible if one of their employees get killed during these hold ups

Why do they stay open 24 hours a day?If they would close at 11pm perhaps things might not happen.

For Moving : Since you are so glad to be leaving Greenville, why don't you go ahead and leave today instead of waiting 3 weeks? It does not get dark until around 8 or 9 at night now. You would do us all a big favor and start your trip out west. I have friends that live in Cal, they live in a very nice area, and they have crime there, too. So go ahead and get gone. Bye. BTW The 8 or 9 comment was in case you are scared to get out at night.

Brando, it's actually a Greenville PD car that's out there now. The SUV went away last week. They swap the cars out, lol.

For starters.... If you have been held up five times maybe a convenience store isn't the best line of work OR she is setting this up. Second, I can't believe the Greenville PD SUV whose windshield is covered in pollen didn't deter the criminals. If you are going to use decoy cars at least clean them off to make it look like they have moved in the past few days.

These decoy police cars parked everywhere are absolutely RIDICULOUS. They don't stop anything because criminals and law abiding citizens know that they sit there for DAYS. Leaving a police car sitting there is not considered community policing.

Since it has become blatantly obvious that Chief Andersons ghost car program doesn't work (like most of his other ideas) let the officers take their cars home!!!! Little things like this would improve morale greatly at a place (GPD) where it is much needed! By doing this Chief Anderson could accomplish many goals; improved morale, cleaner patrol cars, and it would allow officers an extra 15-20 minutes a day to spend time with their familys instead of having to pick up ghost cars and loading them up with the needed equipment. JUST WONDERING...........
