Greenville Woman Accused Of Embezzling More Than $10,000

A Greenville woman is accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from a local company.

Police have arrested Betty Ann Hardy on 2 counts of embezzlement and 5 counts of credit card theft and felonious credit card fraud.

Authorities say Hardy was working as an office manager for Williams Group Properties in Greenville when she made unauthorized personal purchases on two of the business’s credit cards. Those charges totaled $10,230 between August and November of last year. Officials say Hardy also diverted rents she collected totaling $6,670 to her personal use from July through October of last year.

Right now Hardy is behind bars under a $10,000 secure bond.

Jojo - Ann may be a decent person but it was not a bad mistake she made. It was premeditated for it to have gone on for so long. Stealing $10,000 is no mistake no matter what the reason was for it. The one we all should feel sorry for is her son. He is going to be in much more pain as she pays for the sin she committed. Yes, God is a God of grace but he dose not condone sin. That is why He sent His only begotten Son into the world - to forgive us of our sin - not so that we can go on sinning. If Betty confesses to Him and asks forgiveness through Jesus then her sin will be forgiven if she means it. But that does not mean she will not have to pay for her sin and that is what is going to hurt her son. Yes, everyone makes mistakes, but to deliberately continue stealing is not a mistake. As you said, God's love to all. He is a loving God.

Save 10% or more of what you make and before long you'll have a nice little nest egg. Mine is currently $331,000.00 and rising steadily with 80% of it in the stock market at this time. Did not steal a dime.

betty has never had any sympathy for anyone else and never thought bout other people kids when she decided to lie on certain people for her own selfish benefit just for the simple fact she didnt get what she wanted...she evil, sly, selfish and heartless...she has had the wool pulled over alot of people's eyes for long enough and now she getting paid back for her pain and heartache she has caused others....she needs to serve some time so she can reflect on her life and realize this is karma coming back on her for what she has done in the past...everyone really needs to pray for her for her son's sake

Let me just start off by saying that this is a sad situation. Betty Ann's son is truly the victim here. If Betty Ann serves time then her lil boy is left without a mommy and if she doesnt, will she learn her lesson? I know Betty Ann personally and I know her pretty well. She was always a decent person, but definitely sketchy. I am truly not surprised by her actions but a part of me sympathizes for her. Everyone is being really hard on her. Everyone makes mistakes. Hopefully she will learn her lesson and this situation will make Betty Ann grow up. I hope the people that are being so incredibly heartless about this situation arent the same people that are Betty Ann's best friends to her face.

It amazes me how so many people have not second guessed these charges. That obviously means that many of us know the true Betty! Sneaky or smart whatever you want to call it, she got CAUGHT! And yes now we as citizens get to pay to support a thief! Anyone know when the court date is so we as the public can see a criminal be taken off the streets?

What goes around comes around..I understand that she has friends that care for her but seriously, If you were the person that she ran up over 10000 dollars on ur credit card you would not be defending her. She will get what she desreves and the punishment in the US is far less than what she would get in another country. Some countries would cut off your fingers or even your hands. I understand that our goverment is not perfect and no one wants to pay for her to be in jail but i say again, If you were the person that she embezzled from you would not be so sincere...
