Deputies have made an arrest in the case of a man run over by a car Monday afternoon in Pitt County.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office has charged 54-year-old Kay Clark with assault with a deadly weapon to inflict serious injury with intent to kill. She is being held with no bond.
Sheriff Mac Manning says the woman got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend about who owned a house on Old Pactolus Road. Manning says the man was pushed down by the woman's current boyfriend as Clark was backing up her car. The car then ran over the man's leg.
Deputies say the case remains under investigation.
