Heroin Drug Bust

Pitt County lawmen say they found $12,500 worth of heroin on two men.

Two brothers were arrested. The sheriff's office say 36-year-old Joel Dixon of Newark, New Jersey and 42-year-old Tyron Dixon of Greenville, North Carolina were pulled over on a traffic stop on Highway 11 near Kinston when deputies found the drugs.

It happened about 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Deputies say they seized approximately 535 dosage units of heroin, marijuana and $636.00, as well as 1999 Mercedes Benz.

The K-9 that found the drugs, Felix, is the dog that went missing at the beginning of this year.
