Car Flips On Snowy Road

Road conditions started deteriorating early Wednesday morning as the snow started sticking to roads, especially along and west of Highway 17.

Belvoir Volunteer Fire Chief Charles Tucker says the car lost control on Highway 33 West in Pitt County between Belvoir and Penny Hill. Fortunately, the driver was not injured, Tucker said.

The driver told Tucker he was headed to Tarboro from Greenville, and the roads got bad very quickly.

Forget the weather - it's pretty hard to control your car with a cell phone in one hand and texting with the other. These drivers are just plain stupid...

About the time this wreck took place the visability was only about 50 ft. They were the biggest snowflakes I've seen. It was snowing atleast 2 - 3" an hour!
