Pitt County DOT Says It's Ready For Anything Weatherwise

Rain or snow? Depending on where you live you could have seen either one when you looked out our your window.

While snow hit parts of the east Tuesday night, rain fell from the skies in areas around Greenville.

All was quiet over at the Department of Transportation headquarters in Greenville.

Normally, the rumble of trucks and swishing of salt brine preparations fill the air.

But this time, DOT workers decided to play defense against mother nature.

Some people around the Emerald City would rather see the wet stuff, instead of the white stuff.

DOT crews in Greenville are not taking this snow warning lightly despite not having to salt the roads on Tuesday.

Crews are on standby to do their job if the snow hits.
