Autopsy Results In Downtown Greenville Double Murder

Autopsy results of the two people killed last summer in downtown Greenville confirm they each died from a single gunshot wound.

Landon Blackley and Andrew Kirby died when they were shot last June 30th outside the Other Place Nightclub on East 5th street.

James Richardson is charged with the murders and has been in custody since July of last year.

Richardson's next court date is set for April 6th. He could face the death penalty if convicted for the murders of the two men.

I remember Kirby from his workplace. Not a day goes by we don't miss him and remember. He should still be here with us. He cannot be replaced. I regret not taking the time to get to know him better. Those who did know him are so fortunate. It is unbearable to read that Richardson is still not owning up to this. There is no remorse for what he had caused. Richardson needs to have a long talk with God and only then perhaps will he want to step forward, be a man, pay the price he should pay and then come to terms with whatever it is that is laid in front of him. Kirby and Blackley didn't have a chance to come to terms with anything. Richardson can accept responsibilty, apologize to these parents, and hopefully help everyone start moving forward again. He will be found guilty whether he admits to it or not. He can have some dignity perhaps this way.

I didn't ever know that there was a question as to what killed these young men. I guess defense attorneys will do anything to try to get their clients off..

Does it really take that long to perform an autopsy? We already knew the cause of death. Just another example of the inefficiencies of our current processes and our inability to elect people to correct them.

The death penalty should be mandatory if convicted. He killed these two men and should get the same!

Sadly, An autopsy is required in a murder trial to prove the cause of death is what the perp is being tried for.
