Drive Up Robbery Foiled When Employee Walks Away

An attempted armed robbery was foiled when the employee simply walked away.

Greenville police say someone tried to rob the drive-thru at the Taco Bell on South Memorial Drive Tuesday night around 7:15 p.m.

Police say the man drove up to the window and pointed a silver handgun at the employee. The worker asked if the gunman was serious and he nodded his head. Police say the employee then left the drive-thru window area. The gunman then drove away.

The vehicle is a mid 1990's tan or champagne Chevy S10 extended cab pickup truck with a North Carolina plate. It has a Pitt Community College sticker on the driver's side rear window.

Anyone with information should call Pitt-Greenville Crime Stoppers at 252-758-7777.
