Suspect Wanted In Thursday Night Pitt County Shooting

Deputies are searching for a suspect in a shooting they considered armed and dangerous.

Torrie Everett is wanted for the shooting Thursday night on Old River Road in Pitt County.

Deputies say it happened around 10:50 p.m. when Anthony Prayer was hit in the back by one of two bullets fired into a group of people standing in a backyard of a home.

Warrants charge the 32-year-old man with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

If anyone know the whereabouts of Everette they should call the Pitt County Sheriff's Office at (252) 830-4141 or the Pitt/Greenville Crime Stoppers at (252) 758-7777.

    it wasnt robbery and maybe what he did was wrong but you dont know how much a person can take until they do something crazy, we dont know what happen, police dont and the news dont.Its 3 side to every story, victim story, the suspect, and the correct story.

    looks can be deceiving you can't look at someone and tell if they would commit a crime if so then we would have a low crime rate by just looking at people and locking them up by looks but it is assumed that he shot in to a crowed of people which have done nothing to him probably mad at someone else and just shot into the crowed he should be charged with attempted murder for everyone that were there becase the bullet could have hit anyone and don't reduce the charges because of plea bargin and placed on hard labor that might be a good idea if you are found guility for murder other than self defense you should have to fight for the right to live put him on the front line and see how he make it if he survive more than couple of years as him how did he do it and give him a couple more years
