Local Church Sends Supplies To Haiti

Many people in eastern Carolina have already sprung into action---collecting funds and goods to send to Haiti.

Bethel Baptist Church has teamed up with another church in Clayton. The two are working together and have already raised thousands of dollars and have collected car-loads of supplies to be shipped overseas.

Church member Delmus Ayers says one plane full of supplies has already left and another will soon

Church pastor Heath Faircloth is driving supplies to Clayton where Horne Memorial United Methodist Church has a plane and pilot that will be delivering the goods to Haiti.

The church already has a member in Haiti. Michelle Keen, a nurse at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, had just arrived when the earthquake hit.

Pastor Faircloth says that Keen and members of her team are fine, but they have no supplies to work with.

Don Matthews, your a complete idiot. Are you advocating that we turn our back on others in need for survival to take care of this countries financial woes. I would say that your priorities are very off. Yes we need to take care of our countries financial issue but as humans we need to take care of others too...

David gets 100 points for that one. All ten judges showed us perfect scores of 10 each. Celebrities are all mainly Democrats if that sheds light on your question. They all want the world to see them doing something for humanity reasons which in turn, will make them feel better about themselves. They are sick lost Godless people who worship themselves and their money. They all use the media & paparazzi to give the illusion that they really care. Some very few do care but most of them are selfish & rotten to the core regarding how they live a life full of sin. Many Celeb's & politicians laugh and mock the name of Jesus. Camp Obonga and most of the celeb's whether they're TV anchors or stars do not care about what Jesus cares about. They also have a form of godliness and deny the power thereof. Have a blessed day.

Great point Don Matthews, you're dead right. David as well. I see it as we as "one nation under God" are blessed tremendously far more than any other nation on earth. We all know that. Best in everything. Our problem is we're becoming a spoiled selfish nation that is constantly dividing more and more as each year goes by. Our enemies are the world our own flesh and satan. We do need to take care of our own as well as others around the world. Other countries don't recognize or accept the God we serve and do not have the same compassion & love that the true and righteous God we serve gives us. Money, power, greed, statues, cows, dead corpses, trees, rocks, voodoo & satan are the gods that other nations worship. US, Israel & a hand full of other nations worship the God we serve which is the only true and living God Almighty with his son Jesus on his right hand at the throne. Pray for our country to be more compassionate towards our own for the Love of Many has Waxed Cold as Jesus told us

We as Americans need to quit helping all these other countries when we are in economical troubles ourselves. I do not recall any other country offering help when Katrina tore through our lower states causing so much damage!

Just curious? How come it seems as though American celebrities love donating their money to disasters over seas more than they do to their own country? Please don't get me wrong. My heart goes out to those in Haiti who are suffering from this disaster. But I am just wondering why when America was going down in its own disaster, we never heard a peep from celebrities? But when ever a disaster occurs over seas, celebrities are all over it to make sure they have all they need?
