Many people in eastern Carolina have already sprung into action---collecting funds and goods to send to Haiti.
Bethel Baptist Church has teamed up with another church in Clayton. The two are working together and have already raised thousands of dollars and have collected car-loads of supplies to be shipped overseas.

Church pastor Heath Faircloth is driving supplies to Clayton where Horne Memorial United Methodist Church has a plane and pilot that will be delivering the goods to Haiti.
The church already has a member in Haiti. Michelle Keen, a nurse at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, had just arrived when the earthquake hit.
Pastor Faircloth says that Keen and members of her team are fine, but they have no supplies to work with.
