Two people were shot early Saturday morning near a Greenville club, according to police.
The owner of Club Fusion says the shooting did not happen at his establishment.
The original news release from police stated the shooting happened at the club. It stated officers responded to a call for service of shots fired at Club Fusion on West Fifth Street at 2:43 a.m.
We contacted the Greenville police for clarification.
Police officials say the first victim was shot after he left the club and was getting into a vehicle outside. Upon review, they say they can't say he was on club property when the shooting happened. They also say the second victim was shot farther up the street, farther away from the club.
They say shortly after the shooting, two men arrived at the PCMH Emergency room.
Police say 25-year-old Joshua Vines of Fountain and 29-year-old Demetrice Jenkins of Greenville both had gun shot wounds but were expected to be okay.
Officials say there are no suspects at this time.
