Richardson Facing More Charges

The Greenville man behind bars in one of the most talked about crimes of 2009 is facing a new criminal charge Wednesday.

James Richardson has been in the Pitt County Detention Center since July, accused in a double murder in Greenville. He is now facing a charge of assault on a government official.

Pitt County Sheriff Mac Manning says Richardson became belligerent with detention officers Monday, even punching an officer when they tried to handcuff Richardson. Manning says the officer then used a taser to subdue Richardson.

Richardson is charged with the June 30th murders of Landon Blackley and Andrew Kirby. They were shot dead outside The Other Place night club in Greenville.

Dude, you need to read my posts and then figure out what is being said. You either lack basic comprehension skills or you didn't get past the 8th grade. Nothing that is confidential is given out PERIOD. Everything I post here is what recent released detainee inmates have confirmed from their personal observation. Jail is a cruel place and LJ is finding this out. He hates his life and clings to a small hope that his defence attorneys will find some loophole to have him released. The Police Dept has done a fine job (from what I've heard and read) connecting the dots involving this horrible crime. He has shown no remorse over the taking of two lives. He is innocent until proven guilty of course....But when the evidence is overwhelming that is committed these senseless murders. The dots have been connected. So reread my posts and tell me that I've given out confidential information......Actually I'm retired and sipping a Pina Colada while Lj sits in a domitory scared SH**Less.

LJ is still a detainee with specific rights. Him punching out a correction officer is bo big deal for him and will not increase his jail time as most judges let these sentences (once convicted of assualt and battery) run concurrently anyway. The particular facts of this altercation concern's LJ wanting his domotory changed due to constant sexual favors that LJ must perform so he doesn't get harrassed. From what I have heard his family has stopped giving him "commissary money" to buy snacks such as Tang and cookies and cigarettes; the usual payments that the weaker inmates pay the bully inmates to protect them. LJ knows that without these funds he will no longer receive that protection. He has also been caught in the showers engaging in homosexual acts several times since his incarceration. Life is tough in jail. LJ has also tried to get in touch with several of his so called friends who are now testifying against him and they are not going to change their stories.

To Dave, i'll agree about both of the things you just said, however, as far as snow, I want some to come down here. I'm the exact opposite of paranoid. Hey how about east vs. west, did anybody forget that, I'll take the east anyday.

Vance: What does that make you, you appear to have neither. Cindi: And your comments show what kind of person or rather who you think you are and, I'm sorry to have to tell you but, you ain't God.

why is everyone using this to attack each other? who cares if they misspelled a word? the issue at hand is that a man shot and killed 2 other men on the streets of our (all of our) city! we should be pulling together to put a stop to this behavior and let it be known that we will not have this type of activity where everyone should be having a good time or anywhere else. the downtown area is meant for people to gather and be social without the threat of violence! i know someone who grew up and went to school with this richardson kid and he has not always lived the straight life it was bound to catch up with him sooner or later its just sad that 2 men had to die. people stop picking on each other and if you don't have anything nice to say keep your mouths shut!! wow i never knew just how many unhappy people were out there with nothing better to do! now correct my post...

he sure isn't making it easy for the defense attorney. this kid had such a promising future and he continues to screw up his chances for freedom. my heart goes out to his family. why does he have to bring shame to his family?

this man maintains his innocence, i would like that to be investigated. i would hate to think the real shooter (whatever color he may be) is out there still committing crimes. if all of the evidence proves that this man held the gun and pulled the trigger, he deserves what is coming, which i hope is life in prison. how much do we know about this man and whether he has taken advantage of the system as everyone wants to say? is this a proven fact? if not, its slander. i believe in convicting criminals. i believe that thorough research needs to be done to make sure the true perp is the one being punished and that others dont make loopholes for the perp to escape justice. lord knows the ncaap will be up in this post trying to free this man for no other reason except the color of his skin ( i mean, he had to be framed, right?), so dont give them any reasons.
