10-Pound, 4-Ounce Boy Is Pitt County's First For 2010!

Pitt County's first baby of the new year was 10 pound, 4 ounce bouncing boy!

Tremain Young, Jr. came into this world at 2:00 a.m. Friday. His parents are Racheal and Tremain Young. T.J's mom didn't have too far from work to deliver her son, as she also work Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

The new father says he's been up since Wednesday when his wife was admitted. He said he didn't want to miss anything. "I'm ready to be a good father and I know she's going to be a good mother," Young told WITN.

The Youngs met at ECU while they were students and have been married for 4 1/2 years. This is the couple's first child.

This is my first grandchild and I am so happy to see this health big fellow. I pray for God to direct the parents in his upbringing. The grandparents will be on the sidelines to help and direct his path. We pray for divine health and prosperity over this family and to God be the Glory for couples doing things the right way.

They are a beautiful family. So nice to see someone doing things the right way for a change. Congratulations to the Young's, he is beautiful!! Funny how they were the total opposite of the mother of the "last baby of 2009". She was on her 7th child and there was NO mention of a father. Guess we are all taking care of those kids huh?!
