It's their job to help their patients get healthy, but now Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville is getting accolades for helping its employees eat better and move more.
The American Heart Association has recognized Pitt County Memorial Hospital as a platinum-level Start! Fit-Friendly company. "Physical activity and employee wellness are important priorities at PCMH. We are honored and excited to be recognized by the American Heart Association's Start! movement as a Platinum-Level Start! Fit-Friendly Company," said Steve Lawler, president, PCMH. "We're committed to providing the best workplace environment possible. This will benefit our employees' health and produce even more positive results for our company overall."
The hospital received the honor for offering employees physical activity options in the workplace, increasing healthy eating options at the worksite and promoting a wellness culture in the workplace.
