Taco Bell Held-Up

Greenville Police are looking into a hold-up at Taco Bell.

Detectives say two men wearing bandannas to cover their faces held up the Taco Bell on South Memorial, near Fifth Street Sunday evening. The crime happened around 7:30 p.m. Police say the men did not show guns, but inferred that they were armed. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Solution to crime is simple...level the ghettos & stop the government from giving free handouts to the residents there...let them actually WORK FOR A LIVING! Let the victims start shooting the robbers & you will also see a difference...And most of all, start electing politicians on the City Council who will deal with the crime rate by getting a police chief who knows what he is doing....If you don't vote, then don't complain...until the incumbents get out and we have new representation, gripe all you want,it will do no good...stop complaining & DO SOMETHING...

Bring some troops home or hire Blackwater to stop these fools from this.Better yet hire x soldiers to make some hits in all these towns. The tax dollars will be well spent.

I truly believe Gville has a highly trained, dedicated police force. As a resident I am grateful, but it is time to deal with harsher terms with these two-bit criminals. Catch them, harass them, kick their butts and if necessary . . . save the city, county and state some money with a little lead bullet between the eyes. I believe then these street bums will have second thoughts about becoming cheap murderers and criminals.

the police don't have a crystal ball to tell them when/where the crime will happen next. however, there are proven methods of crime prevention that can/should be implemented. how about some of the local officers take a field trip to NYC for some cross-training. i know NYPD would be happy to share their decades of experience in fighting crime.

To Jerry, I actually had the same thing happen to me, but it was in Washington. The Beaufort County government has one of the most outrageous judges in NC I'd say. To J, one big problem is that the hospital is too close to the ghetto area, causing causing more crime at each of the restaurants, no matter what side of the hospital it is. It's a good thing my house is near Portertown and Ivy roads, where it's actually safe and further away from the ghetto, cause I do feel comfortable living there.

To Dave: How about we blame people who live on 5th St. and Moyewood neighorhood. I believe they are responsible, not the police. Why do you think Taco Bell is moving to Stantonsburg Rd? Not because of the police, but because of the neighborhoods that are currently beside of them. The west Greenville neighborhoods need to get together and stop these thugs from operating out of their neighborhoods.
