Hustle Mart employees in Farmville are reacting to another arrest in the triple murder at the store.
On Tuesday, 23-year-old Ashley Johnson was charged with accessory after the fact. Along with Johnson, Zipporah Purvis was arrested for accessory after the fact back in June and Valerie Blount, the mother of the juvenile in the case, was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Chris Hardee, the last person to see the three store workers alive that night, is now working there. He says anyone who may have helped the suspects avoid arrest, should be held accountable. "Just because you didn't pull the trigger doesn't mean you didn't commit a crime. I mean anytime you harbor someone who did that or you knew they did that or you made false allegations to help them get out of what they did, you should be held accountable."
Antwan Anthony, Xavier Shamble, Willie Whitehead and 14-year-old Raekwon Blount, who is now being tried as adult---are the ones facing murder charges. The sheriff's office says says Ashley Johnson and Whitehead were dating.
An ECU student is the seventh person arrested in the Hustle Mart murders case.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Ashley Johnson from LaGrange was indicted with 3 counts of accessory after the fact of first degree murder. She turned herself in today and her bond was set at $3 million.
Deputies say she is charged in connection with the April 1st murders of three men at the Hustle Mart outside of Farmville. The Sheriff's Office says Johnson is an ECU student, and the girlfriend of Willie Whitehead, one of the men charged with the murders.
Others charged with murder are Antwan Anthony, Xavier Shamble, and Raekwon Blount. Blount's mother, Valerie, was charged after the shootings with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
