Another Arrest Made In Murder Of Greenville Woman

Police say they've made another arrest in the murder of a Greenville woman.

Richard Taft was charged Tuesday with an open count of murder. He is the fifth person arrested in the case.

Killed November 15th was Kendra Blount, who was shot as she was in a car at the intersection of Evans and Howell Streets.

The 19-year-old Taft had been in jail since the shooting with outstanding warrants for drug violations. Police say Taft was with others in the vehicle where from which shots were fired into the vehicle Blount was in.

His bond was set at $7,000,000.

Four other people were previously charged with the death.

chocogirl that does not make any sense. he's been incarcerated before. he knows right from wrong. and he knew that he had responsibilities before he did what he did. maybe if you knew the whole story you wouldn't be so quick to defend him!

Spoken like a true bleading-heart liberal chocogirl. Best laugh I had all day, "forced to do something he did not want to do". Perhaps all the criminals should claim this defense and we can set them all free.

You know all you people are crazy. First of all you don't know if he murdered someone or not. Secondly, you don't know if this person was forced to do something he did not want to do. Who are we to judge or convict anyone without knowing the whole story. Sometimes people need to stop, and clean their own closets before they go tending to someone elses. No one out here in this world is perfect, and if you are I would sure like to meet you.

Why bother with a trial, the state will say they have been good and after a few days and turn them loose.
