Pollard Hearing Set For March

A former Pitt County Sheriff Deputy's appeal revoking her law enforcement certification will be heard before an administrative law judge in March.

The Sheriff's Education and Training Standards Commission revoked former lieutenant Michelle Pollard's certification, saying she tipped off the target of a drug investigation, was seen smoking marijuana and taking part in a wet t-shirt contest.

Pollard also faces criminal charges on those allegations. A trial is set for January 25th after she rejected a plea deal.

Lizzy: You might not feel that way if one of those people speeding runs into one of your family members and hurts or kills them. There is a reason for speed limits. Bottom line is that it is a lop sided enforcement in place. a DOUBLE STANDARD.

Speeders should not be given a "easy pass" just because they are married to a cop, but that is a LONG way from drugs.

How about all the other law inforcement officers that catch people speeding or breaking some other law(s) and let them off because they are married to a law enforcement officer or such?

Maybe Justice will really happen in this case. I sure hope so because, it sure seem this is the last straw for her!

It is such a shame she was susposed to be the one protecting us, and yet she was the one against us. I am happy that she has been denied a plea and has to face the conquences of her actions. No one is above the law! It's just horrible that she makes it harder on those who actually do they're job and protect us.
