Assaulted State Trooper Back To Work

A state trooper who was attacked on Thanksgiving Day is now back on the job.

Trooper Amanda Signs returned to work Monday morning at the Highway Patrol company headquarters in Greenville.

Signs was assaulted last month while she was investigating a hit and run in Pitt County. Robert Stocks remains in jail on a $200,500 bond.

The trooper is performing office work right now. She tells WITN News that she is very appreciative of the people that helped her during the attack.
